“Hey I have the day off, do you guys want to do something fun?” Well the answer is always yes, especially when Trey and Mackenzie ask us to do something with them.
So on Labor Day 2023, we “labored” up the side of a mountain to see a spectacular view. Mackenzie said this hike was on her bucket list to do and it did not disappoint. The hike was moderately difficult with steps, rocks, stumps, and tree branches. But the view at the top was striking. The blue sky and puffy white clouds were ethereal and rewarding. And the weather, albeit humid, was cool in the thick of the woods.
While hiking, we had some of the greatest conversations about Hallmark Christmas movies, the Enneagram, Dating, and even fears and how to overcome them. I love the intentionally with which we hiked and chatted – it feels like we’ve been friends forever.
