I was born and raised in NC and now live in a small town in a renovated 1940’s cape cod style house. My husband, Dusten, and I met attending an outreach group at college and when our friends coupled up one summer, he asked me out. Two years later we were married! In our decade plus together, we’ve faced infertility, cancer, grief and loss, and job changes. “But God, being rich in mercy…” has brought us through. Dusten is my opposite in almost every way, but a gift for which I will be forever grateful.

I am an NCIDQ licensed interior designer turned business owner during the pandemic. I run an interior design firm specializing in animal medical practices including shelters, veterinary practices, and specialty hospitals.  I am passionate about designing beautiful and functional spaces that are both functional and fear free.

I have a love for design and making beautiful spaces that speak to people on their first visit or their hundredth visit.

Recah Harward

I am a city girl to the core – like give me all the Amazon Prime, Whole Foods, and street festivals! However, I’m starting to crave privacy and intentionality. I’m exploring micro-homesteading and growing some of my own food. I’m craving beauty in landscaping and loving caring for my little plot of land. I spend almost every waking moment at home on my screen porch!

I am a total foodie and I’m still learning to not be ashamed of that. I absolutely love sweet carbs, and salty carbs…ok, really just carbs in general, but I also believe that what we feed our body affects how we feel physically. Being gluten and dairy free has been eye-opening and rewarding. I absolutely love nachos and I am rather snobbish about them.
